Running with Jesus 2015

Luke 9:16-17 "Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets."

When I read this story I am always reminded that Jesus said He was the bread of life. Looking with physical eyes this story would be like a fairy tale to many. The truth is we can learn from one of the miracles of Jesus life. Later on He would have another meal with His disciples and give the bread and tell them this is my body broken for you. Looking through spiritual eyes we see how one day He would leave this earth and send His sweet Spirit to live in us. Millions of believers eating and being nourished and filled with baskets left over to give away. The Word of God became flesh dwelling among us and filling our hungry souls. Going to places where His love language knows no bounds. There is enough food for every nation on earth.
How awesome of a God do we have! He is here every day with a table spread for us just waiting to feed a hungry soul!  He loves us so much and desires to dine with us! Friend show up daily at His table and enjoy His sweet fellowship. You will not go away unsatisfied!  Read Psalm 1. Let God speak to your hungry soul this morning.

Father, we are here ready to eat at Your table. Give us what You desire today. Help us take our leftovers and share with others that didn't come to Your table. It is beautiful to know what I have to eat I can always have some left over for a friend I may run into today!

Tomorrow: Jesus and the disciples alone praying.

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel

of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor

sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law

doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall

not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the

 wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the

way of the ungodly shall perish.
