Running with Jesus

Luke 12:25-26 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

How well I know this chapter in the Bible! This chapter dealing with worry was one of the first Biblical prescriptions Dr Jesus gave me during my early years of renewing my mind. Now that I am running with Him I don't have to linger as long!

I read a story about woman who worried all the time. She went to the doctor and he wrote theses verses down and those back up to verse 22 through these on a prescription pad and told her to read it 3 times a day for 2 weeks. She returned for her follow up visit and he asked if she did it and she said no. Then he said I can't help you then. She left, went home did as he ask, and returned and told him she was better! She began to understand worry changed nothing but robbed her of enjoying life!

My mother was a worrier and I believe passed that on to me. I had to learn to overcome this area of my life! Scripture played the biggest part of this change in my life. Developing my relationship with God and getting to know Him intimately. Then learning to trust Him totally and stop fighting where I was and the place I was placed in. I had to surrender to the fact like the “Serenity Prayer” helped me change what I could and accept what I couldn't change! Then I just stay busy serving my Lord and helping others. It was a process but with God's help little by little I learned to let things go and as the old saying let the cookie crumbles let it fall where it may! I can't change it so go with it! It is kind of like being in a river and you are fighting to swim upstream all the time. You get tired and then you just relax and ride the current! That is life, there is going to be a lot of debris from all the storms, grab onto a log and ride on!

Lord, worry changes nothing and gets me no where! It is Thee & me, let's just ride on and float together! Thank You I don't have to worry but just do life! It is just a vapor anyway then we will be in Glory! Can I get an Amen!

Promises and conditions, tomorrow!
